Yesterday was my 2nd Friend Christmas Party at my house. I was looking forward to this day so much because I love spending time with all my friends. All 6 of them. Whenever we’re all together it’s quite the time. We’re always laughing about something stupid or spilling some tea…. or making fun of people. Or listening Carly sing to Pheonyx about a Christmas Monkey. Phoenyx loves Curious George.
My dad made these really good sub sandwiches. I think he was more excited than I was. He spent the morning making them and having a great time making fun of me while I was making pickle rolls. I had somebody ask me what pickle rolls were and she wants to see the recipe to make them, so maybe a blog post on my favorite Christmas food will be up tomorrow. Who knows?
Matt made cookies. Okay, he brought the cookie dough over and I made them. Okay… my dad made them. It was a group effort. Carly brought soda. Dr. Pepper because that’s what we all love. Matt had seven too many of those. Samm brought her amazing salsa that I love so much. Austen brought himself which I was happy about because I don’t get to see him as much as I want to. We used to see each other everyday, now we see each other once a week, if that. I stuffed my face until I couldn’t possibly eat anymore.
My favorite part was watching everybody open their presents. I love giving. It makes me so happy. I’d rather give than receive. Samm gave me a picture of Smokey that she made. It’s the cutest thing ever and I love it so much. She made it by doing dots. It’s crazy good. She’s so talented. Carly got me a blackhead mask, a perfume set with FUZZY SOCKS, and a bath bomb. I can’t express to you how much I love fuzzy socks. I can’t wait to wear them. Matt got me a Starbucks cup that I’ve been wanting forever. I was actually going to buy myself one last weekend because Carly told me to then Matt yelled at her and me and said I wasn’t allowed to buy it. Now I know why. Then my dad decided to be super giving and he gave us all Starbucks gift cards because he knew we were going to Starbucks after the party. What a guy. Supporting my extreme caffeine habits. I’ll have to get him something extra special for Christmas.
After the party we went to Target which has a Starbucks in it because after we got extremely over caffeinated we were going to run around Target like a bunch of morons. We were in the game/toy area looking at stuffies for Phoenyx and I saw this game that said “You have Crabs.” I held it up and yelled “Hey guys! It’s Matt!” There was a crowd of older adults around us who bursted out laughing when they saw that. Matt’s face was red. Austen and Carly were laughing so hard. I’m glad I could embarrass Matt. I ended up finding a present for my dad that he’s going to love. Carly and I got the Bean Boozled challenge. Let me tell you. I hate that stupid ass jelly bean bullshit.
If you don’t know what it is, it’s a jelly bean game. Basically there’s a good jelly bean flavor and a bad jelly bean flavor. For example, there’s chocolate pudding or dog food. Toothpaste or berry. Spoiled milk or coconut. Birthday cake or dishwater. There’s a few more that I can’t remember. We did it last year around this time and I threw up a lot. I don’t know why I put myself through that again.
Once we got back to town, we did it in Matt’s car. Matt wasn’t very fond of it because he didn’t want one of us to throw up in his car. I threw up next to his car. Austen was laughing at us the whole time. Austen and Matt are pansies though. They wouldn’t try a single jelly bean while Carly and I were going ham at it. Losers.
The rest of the night all I could smell was fricking dog food. I ended up getting a headache from it, but it was pretty funny. Overall, it was an amazing day. I’m so happy everybody liked what I got them and being around my friends makes my life complete.
