The Great Wrapping Disaster of 2018

If I’ve learned one thing in the past 20 years of my life, it’s that I can’t wrap Christmas presents. I am 20 years old and I have the present wrapping ability of a 4 year old. Maybe 3. It’s a skill I’ve never have.

For one, I need more than two hands. How can one possibly fold wrapping paper and get a piece of tape to stick it together? My monkey instincts come it handy. Time to break out the feet. Second, how to you know where to fold everything? I’ve looked up so many tutorials on the internet and NOTHING I do works. I guess I’m cursed and will never be able to wrap correctly. You can give me a box. A perfectly square box and by the time I get done wrapping it it’ll be in the shape of a circle. I don’t get it.

Taping things is pretty hard too. I think I always use more tape than I should. Speaking of tape, I was watching Matt wrap presents for everybody last weekend and when he got to mine he wrapped it normally. Looked pretty good. Next thing I know, he ended taping the entire thing. He said something about child proofing it. I’m not a child nor do I need any proofing for a present. I promise you I don’t peak!

I put most of the presents in bags so nobody can see the terrible wrapping disaster that happened. “The Great Wrapping Disaster of 2018”. I’m really good at the name tags and bows though!

  1. I am not very good at wrapping presents either. My mom is so good at it, and I don’t understand her secret. lol I didn’t do too bad last year though, I don’t think. Better than the year before when the presents really looked mangled. 😛 I haven’t wrapped presents yet this year, but that’s on the agenda for tomorrow, so I’ll see how I do.

    1. I don’t know how moms do it. They’re like magic at it. My mom makes it look easy when to me it’s rocket science. I have some more presents to wrap tomorrow as well… we’ll see how it goes lol
