Top 10 Travel Destinations *Collab Edition*

Hi ladies and gents, I am so excited to be featured on Abby’s blog to share with you my Top 10 Travel Destinations. For those of you who don’t know who I am, my name is Michaela and I’m from the blog: Michaela Rose Blogs. If you want to read Abby’s top 10 then head over to my blog:

I hope you enjoy this post and have a wonderful rest of your day! Xoxo

For me, travelling far from Vancouver Island, Canada has been something I have wanted to do but could never afford (hence why this is my “bucket list” and not “these are all the places I’ve been too”). P.S: this list is in no particular order.

  1. New York City: Ever since I watched ‘Gossip Girl’, travelling to NYC has been a must for me. There are so many cool attractions like the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square, etc. Even though this is an expensive city, I think it would definitely be worth saving up for!

  2. France: Paris has probably been the one city I have been wanting to go too forever. I mean, my room is Paris themed so I think that’s a given. The Eiffel Tower, Le Louvre, Notre-Dame, Arc de Triomphe, and the Champs-Elysees are some of the main places I MUST SEE when I go there. Besides going to the city of love, another city in France that I would love to go to is Nice (said like niece). This beautiful city is located on the French Riviera has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! It is also very close to the small country of Monaco. If you are a beach enthusiast then this one is a must-see on your list!

  3. Portugal: Though I don’t have a specific city in Portugal that I want to see, travelling to different places around the country is a goal of mine. Seeing pictures on Pinterest has got me craving to see what the Portuguese culture is like!

  4. Italy:  In my opinion, Italy looks like one of the most beautiful countries in the world. From its picturesque wine vineyards in Tuscany, to its shopping district in Milan, Italy has something for everyone. Oh and not to mention that Italian is my favourite type of food. However, out of all the different cities in this country, Rome and Venice have to be the top 2 on my list from Italy because there is so much history and culture in the area.

  5. Florida:  Though I was in Florida (for under 24hrs) in November, I loved it so much and I must go back! I stayed in Ft.Lauderdale and it was beautiful! The people were so nice and not to mention the beach is beautiful. If I am able to go back I have to make sure I go to Orlando because I really want to go to Walt Disney World.

  6. Bora Bora/Tahiti:  When it comes to a beach vacation, the French Polynesia has to take the cake. Though travelling here is extremely expensive from Canada, I think it would be a perfect spot to go on your romantic honeymoon or anniversary!

  7. Amsterdam: This is another city that stole my heart because of Pinterest. It has canals all over the city (which makes a perfect back drop for any Instagram pictures you may want to take), and the buildings are painted with bright colours which gives it the European vibe you’ve been looking for! I know this is on my boyfriend’s bucket list as well…. So couples trip?!?!

  8. Costa Rica: Yes, most of my travel destinations are in Europe, however, this Central American country is the perfect place to visit if you’re looking to see some beautiful beaches and the rainforest. I want to go here so bad because it is like nothing that I have ever seen before! It would be something new and exciting, which is what travelling is all about right?

  9. England: I feel like this country is on everyone’s bucket list who has never been there! Besides the fact that there is so much history and cute villages across England, my boyfriend’s step mom grew up here which makes Evan and I want to go so much more. London is of course the main city I am interested in visiting, however I would also like to travel to Brighton, Birmingham, Manchester, etc.

  10. Toronto: Okay… Yes… I know. This one is in my own country. However, it is miles and miles away and actually quite expensive to get too. I’d love to see the biggest city in Canada. Oh, not to mention my favourite baseball team ever just happens to be the Toronto Blue Jays.

Thank you everyone for getting through all 10 of my “bucket list” travel destinations! Don’t forget to go read Abby’s list on my blog (link above or below).

Much Love, Michaela

  1. So many amazing places! NY is one of my all-time favorites. Accomodation is usually expensive but a lot of really amazing attractions such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and High Line are free, it’s quite possible to visit on a budget.

Paris is another one of my all-time favorites and Nice is lovely, too. Although the beaches are rocks, not sand, so it’s a bit different from what I was used to!

I’ve been all over Italy and it’s yet another one of my favorites, Rome definitely being the best!

I moved from the US to the UK in September and LOVE it. I live in Brighton which is my favorite place on Earth. I’ve been all around GB and there is so much diversity within this (relatively) small island.

I’ve been to Toronto a few times but never got a chance to properly explore!

I would also love to go anywhere island-y, particularly the Maldives as they have amazing scuba diving! Great list! I’m sure you’ll be able to get around at some point!
