Luck of the Irish

Hey guys!
Welcome back.

It’s currently 12:21 in the morning so if anything is spelled wrong or if I make absolutely no sense I’m really sorry. I literally just got home and remember I was supposed to post a blog. Oops…

It’s St. Patricks Day. Okay, it was St. Patrick’s day. The one holiday where it’s appropriate to skip work and drink all day. Hell, even if you aren’t Irish you can join right in.

Every year on St. Patrick’s Day, my dad and I go to the parade in the city because we’re Irish. I would always ditch school and go because parades are more fun than learning. After the parade we go to Avanti’s and eat

The parade was pretty fun. I mean, isn’t watching a bunch of grown adults flop around over beads and candy fun? I think that’s a pretty good time. Plus, I got a baked potato. That’s always something good.

It was pretty cold out, 30 degrees Fahrenheit. I don’t know what that is in Celsius… just know it’s cold. So I was using the baked potato as a hand warmer haha. My dad said that’s what kids used to do a long time ago. They would take a baked potato to school and use it as a hand warmer, then eat it for lunch. Kinda weird, but it makes sense. Who knew food had so many other uses. I’m way too tired to be writing…

Now, you’re probably thinking “Abby, you’re hella Irish. Why aren’t you two at a bar drinking?!”
Well, I’ve never had a drop of alcohol in my life and my dad doesn’t drink so what’s the next best thing? Italian food. Shoutout to my olive.

I woke up around 8. We left home around 10. We got Avanti’s at 12:30 and we got home around 2:30. From 2:30 until 4 I passed out. Nick called me at 4 because he was supposed to come over then. I was so tired. Naps are deadly, but I love them so much. We watched vines for 3 hours and drove around town being dumb.

Then Sam showed up and the three of us went to Nick’s house, where we had fun with lots & lots of legos. Like, and extreme amount of legos. Probably $2,000 worth of friggen legos.

That’s how we spend our Saturday nights. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Now it’s really foggy and cold. Hopefully it gets warmer soon. It’s also 1 in the morning and I have to wake up at 7:30. Go me!
