Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog
I know I’m supposed to post on Monday’s, but I didn’t yesterday out of respect to the people in Las Vegas. I’ll get into that later in this post.
Anyways, instead of doing goals that I won’t accomplish this month because I’m lazy, I’m going to make a bucket list of things I want to do. If you don’t know, fall is the month I come alive. I love everything about it. The leaves changing colors, the cool nights, bonfires, hot coffee in the morning, pumpkins, haunted houses, Halloween (my favorite holiday), pumpkin spice everything, oversized sweaters, warm boots, Halloween movies… if it has to do with fall, I like it.
This month I want to:
- Go to a bonfire
- Go to a haunted house
- Go to a pumpkin patch
- Carve a pumpkin
- Make pumpkin seeds
- Go to Grand View Drive
- Drink a pumpkin spice latte
- Watch Halloween movies
Small list, but I’m lazy. I’ll be lucky to get half of those done haha.
Now for a much more important subject. Vegas.
For those of you who don’t live in the United States, here’s what happened.
Monday morning, the country woke up to devastating news. Another mass murder. The biggest in U.S. history. The second biggest one happened 6 months ago. The shooter killed over 58 people and injured roughly 520 people. I’m so upset and devastated that hundreds of innocent people died or got injured. I think most people can agree with me that this country is in need of a wake up call. Something needs to be done with this gun situation. Stricter background checks maybe? Maybe some people should start taking mental illness seriously and not let mentally deranged people roam around the streets? Possibly reducing guns but not getting rid of them completely? Something needs to be done. I don’t quite know what it is, but we as a country need to do something. We can’t keep letting mass shootings happen. Just think, it could be you someday.
My heart goes out to all those who have lost their lives or been injured in that tragic moment as well as the families who have lost loved ones or don’t know where they are. I pray everybody makes it through this and we can work towards making sure shootings like this never happen again. If we all work together instead of against each other, we can make it happen.
