A Letter To My Old Bestfriend

Dear Old Bestfriend,

In high school, especially senior year, we were super close. We talked every day and every night. You would text me right when you woke up in the morning because I would already be awake.

We would meet at school in the mornings and go to our first hour class together. First semester we had almost every class together, but second semester we only had 2 classes a day together instead of all 4. We were pretty ticked about that.

During class we would always sit together. I would sit in front of you so you could hide your phone behind my back and not get caught. We would text each other during every class wether we had it together or not. You would think we would get tired of talking to each other all day, but we didn’t. There was always something (or somebody) to talk about.

Lunch would come around and we would sit across from each other as we always did. We were the closest two out of our friend group. Everybody knew that. At one point, people thought we were dating. It wasn’t true, but we let them think whatever they wanted to.

After school we would go home and send each other pictures of our homework (not cheating it’s called comparing answers). Then later that night we would hangout with everybody once again. The only thing to do in a small town. Then we would wake up the next day and do it all over again.

To be completely honest, I miss you. I miss all the memories we had (like biting a hole in my tongue when I was eating chips one night). We even had the same birthday! You used to text me at 7:07 a.m on my birthday to tell me happy birthday. You used to be so proud because you could remember the exact time I was born and nobody else could. But you know what? I’m still older!

I wish things were how they used to be, but at the same time I don’t. You’re happier now. I’m the same as I used to be. You have your new friends and I have my old friends. We still talk sometimes, but something is missing. I don’t really know what it is.

I hope you’re doing good. Maybe we’ll see each other again someday and everything will return to how it was, like a bad dream you’ve finally woken up from.

No, sadly. I want a kitten though.

Fall Soup

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog. Today I’m going to talk about a recipe I found on Pinterest the other day. Pinterest always has the best recipes. It’s called Tomato and basil tortellini soup. I’m not going to lie, but this is the first time I’ve made anything from Pinterest. I decided that if it went well, I would continue to discover new recipes, make them, and share them with you guys because who doesn’t love good food?

So I decided to make this soup because it’s pretty much fall and this seemed like a pretty good fall soup to make. Plus, who doesn’t love soup?

  • 1/4 cup of fresh basil
  • 1 basil
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 5 cups of fat free chicken stock
  • 1 jar of Ragu traditional pasta sauce
  • 16 oz of 3 cheese tortellini
  • 1/2 tsp of pepper
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 3/4 cup of fat free half & half
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 of skim milk

Now that was a lot of ingredients. I didn’t know  all of those little things could make something so delicious.

First we put the onion, carrot and olive oil in a 6 quart pot. We simmered over medium heat until the onions became translucent. Then we added fresh basil, chicken stock, milk, half & half, pasta sauce, and diced tomatoes. Once all those are in we stir it of course. Next came the salt, pepper and garlic powder and guess what? Once you put all that in you stir it. Now you have to let it simmer for about 20 minutes. After it simmers you can add the tortellini and let it simmer once again for 15-20 minutes. When it’s ready to be served sprinkle some parmesan cheese on and you’re ready to go.

Overall it turned out so good. I liked it, Andrew liked it (he likes everything though), my parents liked it and Carly liked it. I would definitely make it again and I think all of you should try! I’ll have the link so the soup below so you can check it out. I hope you all liked reading! 💙

Sick Days

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog.

Life update: I was sick most of last week, that’s why I didn’t post. I tried to, but I had lost all motivation to do anything. I wanted to write so bad but I couldn’t hold a thought for more than 3 seconds… like a goldfish. Luckily I’m feeling better now! At this point I only have a stuffy nose that should go away soon. Please go away soon.

All of you know that being sick or having a cold is NOT fun. You don’t have the motivation to do anything, you feel gross and icky, all you want to do is sleep and if you have things to do, it can make you feel miserable. So here’s some things to help you get through the sick days, and get back to feeling 100% again.

Ludens Throat Drops, Wild Cherry, 90 Count

Luden's Cough Drops.jpg

I have been using these for years. They’re literally the best brand and flavor ever. I could use these even when I’m not sick because they taste good.

Vicks NyQuil and DayQuil SEVERE Cough Cold and Flu Relief, 48 Caplets (32 DayQuil + 16 NyQuil)

DayQuil and NyQuil Package

At night this stuff knocks me out. I slept through a tornado warning siren once because I took NyQuil and was knocked out for 12 hours. When I woke up the yard was flooded, tree branches were everywhere and the power was out in some towns… but at least I felt better haha

Nasacort Allergy 24 Hour 120 Sprays, 0.57 Fluid Ounce

I love this because one, it has a pump which is very convenient and two, it can be used if you’re sick or have allergies. I don’t really have allergies though, I just get sick a lot.

Emergen-C Dietary Supplement Drink Mix With 1000mg Vitamin C, 0.32 Ounce Packets, Caffeine Free (Raspberry Flavor, 30 Count)

I like to put this in a water bottle and drink it over the span of an hour or two, while Andrew likes to put it in a 6 ounce glass and drink it right away. Either way it gets the job done. It also comes in the flavors “Strawberry-Kiwi” and “Orange”.

Those are some of the products I use when I don’t feel good to help me get better super fast because nobody likes being sick for very long. I hope you all liked reading! Let me know what your favorite thing to use when sick is. 💙

Wowzers. I can’t believe that in 5 short months of blogging I’ve gotten to know so many amazing people and read what they’ve had to say. At the same time I’m amazed that people want to listen to what I have to say. It’s truly amazing.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who read my blogs and who have gotten to know me on a personal level. It’s a blessing to be able to meet people all over the world who actually enjoy reading about my life since you know… I have no friends haha.

I remember when I started blogging I thought I would completely fail and nobody would care. So to all of you new bloggers, just know that there’s somebody out there who would love to read what you write and would love to meet you. I’ll be one of those people!

I know this post is short, but I just wanted to say thank you to everybody who has followed me in this journey. You’re all super amazing for putting up with my antics.  I hope you all liked reading! 💙

‘IT’ Movie

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog. Last Saturday, Andrew talked me in to going to see ‘IT’. There were two problems with that… 1. I DO NOT like clowns. 2. I can’t sit in a movie theatre for 2 and a half hours being scared by Pennywise. But Andrew promised me popcorn and I can’t resist movie theatre popcorn with butter. So I caved in and went with him and I don’t regret seeing the movie.

Honestly, when I saw the previews for the movie I thought it was just going to be another crappy scary movie with a crappy plot line and crappy actors with too many unnecessary jump scares. Jump scares tick me off because I always get scared then Andrew laughs at me. (He doesn’t get scared easily so he gets joy out of laughing at me). But right from the beginning of the movie all the way to the end is an amazing plot line. It tells a story and actually gets you invested into the characters. You start to care about the characters and you get emotionally invested towards them. The kid actors were absolutely amazing which made the movie so much better. Don’t even get me started on the clown. That was such amazing acting and scared the crap out of me.

It was so much more than just a scary movie. There was lots of swearing, inappropriate  humor (my favorite), fighting, “romance moments”, and then the scary parts. I was actually pretty sad when the movie ended. I wanted it to keep going because it just kept pulling me into the story. Then on the screen at the end it said “Chapter 1” so everybody automatically got excited to see there’s going to be a Chapter 2 coming out in the future.

Overal I would not hesitate to give IT 5 stars. I will defiantly be waiting excitedly with everybody else for Chapter 2. Stephen King is the master at writing horror books. I heard the movie didn’t even capture how truly scary the book is, so I might have to read the book eventually. If I do, I’ll let you know how IT is! I hope you all liked reading! 💙

Hurricane Funds: Harvey & Irma

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog. Today instead of writing something funny, sarcastic  and slightly offensive like I normally do, I want to talk about something a little more serious. As you can tell by the title, I want to talk about the two hurricanes that hit Florida and Texas. If you don’t live in the United States and don’t know what’s going on I’ll give you a run down. Basically, there were two hurricanes, Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Harvey (Category 4) hit Texas and Irma (Category 5) hit Florida. They both costed millions of dollars in damage and several people were injured or found dead.

Down below I’m going to have some relief funds you can donate to. Any amount of money can help, even if it’s just a dollar. I made sure these weren’t spam sites that will just take your money.

Hurricane Harvey:

Hurricane Harvey Children’s Relief Fund

Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund-Global Giving

Thank you for helping families impacted by Hurricane Harvey-Red Cross

Hurricane Irma:

St. John Victims of Hurricane IRMA

Disaster Relief: Help protect children from harm

Help People Affected by Hurricane Irma. Donate Now-Red Cross

Just remember every penny helps somebody in need! We, as in not just a country, but a world, need to come together. I find it sad that it takes a massive natural disaster to bring people together. We should all be united no matter what. Spread positivity. Be respectful of others. Make people smile. Do kind things for strangers. Don’t judge those you don’t know. Instead of hating and fighting we should spread love. Enough of my emotional ranting. I hope you all liked reading! 💙
